autoMate manages the order sequence numbers for ReCharge orders, allowing you to see what number the order is in a recurring subscription.
The app will attach a shipping notes to the ReCharge subscription to allow you to quickly identify how many orders that customer has had.
The OS number is constantly updated each time a new order is placed within a customer subscription.
When the order is placed, the note will appear within Shopify order notes which allows you to then pull this through to your warehouse management system or CSV export of orders.

How autoMate updates the OS number
When a new subscription order is placed or a renewal is processed, autoMate will receive a webhook from ReCharge. autoMate will then look to see if there's already an existing OS number attached to the shipping address.
If there is, we will increment that by 1 ahead of the next order, so it's always correct ahead of being processed again.
If there's no OS number present (new subscriber or import) we assume this is their first order and therefore set their next order to OS:2 ahead of it renewing again.
Ongoing and Pre-Paid subscriptions
autoMate will update the OS number for both ongoing or pre-paid subscriptions, in exactly the same way.
Backdating OS numbers ahead of installing autoMate
This process is where you export all of your active subscriptions to a CSV file and add the OS number into the appropriate row, in the following format:
OS:X
You can then pass this to ReCharge who will update the subscriptions with the new data, allowing you to import all the correct OS numbers ahead of autoMate taking over.
Adjusting a customers OS number
You can also manually edit the OS number of a particular customer, by going to ReCharge orders within the ReCharge app.
The next step is to click on the address ID, which will show you the subscription details
If you scroll down to Additional Info & Settings, you will see the OS number. Select Edit cart note, and manually change the OS number to whatever you would like it to come through as. autoMate will then continue the count from the new number.
